Boxing of the Year Awards - Results

    They were held in London this afternoon and I am told that:

    Rendall Monroe won British Boxer of Year (Haye came second)

    Fight of the year - Rhodes - Moore

    Haye won WBA boxer of the year.

    *I have added a poll with the same candidates that were voted for by Boxing News Readers to see who posters on ESB would choose. Vote.

    Yep, a lot of people felt that Haye would get it - but I am very happy for Monroe - he fully deserves it.

    Munroe's had two fights this year, Terrazas and Nishioka. I dont think that warrants fighter of the year.

    No just got a text. Who would you give boxer of the year to?

    My first instinct would be Froch, but at the time of the voting he had a narrow win over Dirrell and a loss to Kessler this year - if they considered last nights win - then he is hands down the fighter of the year.......
