Berto is not a draw has not faced elite opposition has not headlined one ppv fight, has not had a fight of the year. At the level pacquiao is fighting it is one step above berto, pacquiao is ppv berto is hbo championship boxing. Berto fighting quintana,collazo, hernandez, pacquiao fighting hatton ,margarito, de lahoya, marquez.

Berto can face Cintron or Williams at WW. He and Mosley have unfinished business as well. Why isn't he viable? He'd still be Berto's stiffest challenge to date.

 

Even if mosley is not the same fighter of years ago he would still pose berto a challenge and i wouldn't be surprised if he beat berto. Berto needs to fight williams,cintron,maidana,ortiz,khan,bradley,alexander, any of those would be a better fit for him. The money is not there for him to generate what a big ppv event with pacquiao should based on berto's past opposition. What would the story line be of an hbo 24/7? What fight of berto would hbo show the week before the event with pacquiao in order to sell him to the ppv buyer's.
