    :-(

I'm so ****ing pissed this pig is actually a promoter...

Those are questions that have to be answered. I'm not interested in what these boxing nuts are writing or not writing. Those people will watch anyway. - ARUM

In addition Bob Arum says: "Well, there are two key things with Marquez that are important. One is their fight will be at 147 pounds. In other words, they are not going to fight at a catch weight. If they want a stipulation that Manny doesn't come into the ring weighing more than 150, that's fine.

But it's stupidity to make this guy, who is the welterweight champion -- Manny -- go down to 142 or 143. Or to starve himself. The important thing is how much that they weigh the night of the fight.

Manny, when he fought Antonio Margarito, weighed in at 144.6 pounds and came in the night of the fight at 148 pounds. That's what we're going to do. We're not interested in any kind of starving to get lower and so forth."

Fans could be looking forward to watching Pac Vs. Void if only Void would quite running and lying. I respect Pac. I do not respect Void. However, a fight with Berto would be good or even Marquez if Void still refused to fight him.

better question is, who among the promoters would put a good fight first and

monetary consideration second? not the other way around.

Let's contrast that with another promoter's point of view:

Here’s what the always-controversial Dana White had to say in a YouTube interview with Fighters Only Magazine: “I announced [Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir 3] at the Q&A yesterday, and I didn’t get a very popular response. People on my Twitter have been going crazy, saying ‘we hate this [expletive] fight, no way’. So, listen, I believe my job is to give the fans the fight that they want to see, so, maybe I’ll rethink that.”

Wow.. a sport and an organization where THE FANS MATTER!!! People spoke up and the promoter listened. And FYI, for those of you who do not follow MMA,
Lesnar v Mir 3 would generate the highest interest amongst the quote unquote "CASUAL MMA FANS"....

not to turn this into an MMA vs Boxing thing because I'm one of the people who absolutely love both. Just contrasting the different attitudes towards the fans.

I agree with you but I personally think Pac would destroy Marquez these days taking various things into consideration. I'm not completely confident that he would walk over an old Mosley either.

You asked a fair question.. you asked WHAT PROMOTER WOULD..... I just showed you the answer. Doesn't matter what sport. Just another reason why fans migrate.
