Apologies, he didn't win a medal, but was at the Olympics. he broke his hand in his second fight I think.

Interesting question and one that usually only recieves parochial responses, not well thought out ones.

Ray Wheatley's 'World of Boxing' magazine ran Green v Mundine II as a hypothetical match-up some months back, and of the dozen or so industry 'experts' asked for an opinion it was about 10 for Green and 2 for Mundine, and about 8 of those opinions were Green by KO.

The knee-jerk reaction of Mundine fans here would be to instantly discredit the 'experts' Wheatley asked, but rest assured they consisted of people with more knowledge and actual ring experience than will ever be found on this, or any other web forum.

Sounds like a standard green nut hugger response, leaning on "expert oppinion" you sound like a ****in new idea magazine with a hot tip from a "friend of a friend".
Prior to their first fight 8 out of 10 "experts" would have given the edge to green aswell, lol look how well that panned out.
Another valid point on weight no one mentions, mundine played league at 73kg for stgeorge, so i really dont think when he first came in to boxing he should have been anywhere near smw, he probably should have started at jmw and been working his way up.

I'd tip Green in a rematch at 175, and said that about 2 years ago too.

But many so called experts were tipping Green the first time around also.

Correct. I think he even got up to 90kg at some stage too.

Considering the guys never really had an ounce of fat on him, thats a heap of muscle to lose.

yes. when i looked for some info to back me up and saw 69kgs somewhere next to his name....on a search result, 17kgs or even more as you say. I should give the lad some credit in some way to be able to perform even on a domestic level with that amount of muscle reduction is something. Unfortunately, as a boxing fan, his fight career has done absolutely nothing for me on its own merits.

    totally incorrect,
At st george (first stint) 73kg, and he NEVER EVER weighed more then 81kg and that was only putting on weight for the broncos in the centres.
And to weigh near that he was following strict trainging to increase muscle mass. thanks for trying though
