Hamed had god given phyical attributes, quickness, speed and power.........these physical attributes were highlighted against lesser and old fighters on the way out......... ......but make no mistake, Hamed boxing skill level was intermediate at best, he was probably closer to novice than intermediate, but it was somewhere inbetween..... ......Hamed knew nothing in the art of setting up punches.....the art of the angle and things of the sort......which is why he was uncompetitve against the skill level of MAB. ......up to that point, Hamed had gotten away with his immense physical ability, but make no mistake about this.....any fighter that was even bordering on A level would have made easy work of Hamed at anytime in his career, and I say that with conviction. 99 times out of 100, great skill beats average skill with great physical ability. There is'nt an ounce of doubt in my mind, Marquez would have disected Hamed and torn him limb from limb.
Boom_Boom, me and you have been involved in this discussion throughout the years many times, I'm not about to redo debates you've already been dominated against...... Yeah, honest Bob Arum say's Marquez was offered a career high payday against Morales, and you're going to run with it.....I'm not about to waist my time discuss this with you again. What I'm pointing out in this thread is the happenings of Hamed avoiding Marquez and how it changed the course of boxing history. .......for ****s sake, Emmanuel Steward who trained Hamed confided in last nights broadcast that he personally advised Hamed to stay the hell away from Marquez......if you cant take that at face value, thats too bad for you.
Hamed would of Won IMO. Prince Naz by KO6. :bbb [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLXcgZ84ndk[/ame] Too FAST, too POWERFUL, too Eluzive. :deal Foreman Hoooooooooooooooook!:hat:smoke:rasta
He was avoided, Hamed put it off but offered small money eventually, MAB/Morales avoided him, I don't buy Arums take on Morales. Morales was protected and matched smart by Arum
JMM has always been plagued by bad management decisions, I wonder where he would be now if he hooked up with a promoter that will give him good advice and get him the fights that he needed
Dog ****. As much as you try to sugar coat it, thats a big chip on your shoulder in reagards to Hamed. His speed and power alone were enough to cause anyone to worry. People get very carried away with the Barrera fight. A great performance by MAB but not as dominant a fight as ppl will have you believe. I had Barrera by 3.
Remember folks, boxing is show business.. ducking and avoiding has very little to do with bravery and everything to do with money. Superstars draw crowds and Naseem was amoungst the best superstars boxing has seen in the last 20 years.
Good for Steward. But will team Marquez also admit they avoided Joan Guzman at all cost because he is all wrong for JMM?
The post of the year!!!I can't tell you how many times I've written on ESB about how hamed avoided JMM like the plague and only made the lowball offer as well as the fight within a month.Hamed's supporters can't accept the facts. And It's great how you mentioned yet another fact that hamed thought he was going to blow MAB out of the water.Remember that Marco had already been stopped by Junior Jones.Great job!!
KO 6?The same fellow that Manny P couldn't stop? The same fellow that was far better than anyone that hamed fought except MAB? Uhhh, no.Even hamed's trainer knew that the hamed avoided JMM would have boxed Hamed's big ass ears off.
Marquez vs Katsidis was probably his first boxing match that he has seen, thus he only has all of 48+ hours of boxing history in his pea-sized brain.
Talking about dog ****, that is a horrible card you had there. 3 points? You know you are supposed to score the fight for the fighter who is punching the other guy in the face, This content is protected for the guy who is hitting the other guy's fists with his face.
