a failure as a tournament but not as a boxing showcase, we've still seen great fights because of it.

carl froch is a lot more well known(and respected) with the tournament than he ever would have been now without it.

and yes, like him or loathe him, haye has a ton of personality

I can't believe someone who supported the man who has done more to damage British boxing than anyone else in the last decade can call anything or anyone "utter ****ing ****"

Your first argument always crops up when discussing what a failure it's been-but have the fights honestly been that great?

Froch v Dirrell was dreadful, Taylor v AA was pretty good but most of the fights have been forgettable-especially the Ward ones. I think the only truly great fight the Super 6 has given us is Froch v Kessler.

And to be honest, we'd have probably seen Froch v Kessler and Abraham with or without the tournament.

Looking at which papers nominated which fighters...nearly all went for Haye in their ten and he made the cut. About 3 went for Khan, a few of the Scottish papers voted for Burns and NONE OF THEM voted for Froch.

Maybe the voting took place before Saturday? :think

I think they must have, forgot about Burns, he is more worthy than Haye IMO.

well they were fights people wanted to see. and can you honestly say we would have probably seen any kind of fight regardless of the tournament with the state of boxing today? froch vs kessler/abraham without this tournament , if they would have happened at all, would probably have been five years from now or something, you never know these days.

even if the fights didn't all live up to your expectations, it still showcases a much needed and foreign aspect to boxing, good fighters actually fighting eachother.

Nobody deserves it more than McCoy. His national win should clinch it for him after an unbelievable career.
