If im being honest, Michael Grant. He looked to have all the attributes to be a top heavyweight. in my defence though, i was only 15

no doubt, universum is imo the worst promoter in the entire sport, they've wasted so much european talent it's unbelievable. At least TR and GBP are making fights, these assholes can't be bothered to build their promising fighters into anything marketable

Mark Breland was all that was good about Leonard and Hearns, rolled into one...

Don Curry was going to topple Hagler...

    Kelcie Banks...

    Jo-el Scott...

If Michael Olajide got to Hagler before Curry, he would be the man to topple The Marvelous one...

    (80s version) Gato Gonzales...

Hector Camacho (Snr ;)) was going to dominate everything up to 147 for an entire decade...

    Shannon Briggs...

    Sugar Baby Rojas...

    Meldrick Taylor...

Mind you on a lot of these I was not alone, in thinking this.

One I possibly was: Noel Quarless to be a bigger hit than Bomber Bruno!

I really that Ike Ibebouchie would be world champ....i may have been right had he not gotten all rapey and crazy. I thought Taylor would be much better after that first hopkins fight....other fighters fizzled out quicker then i thought..guys like riddick bowe. Cant really name any up and comers who didnt make it..but then i likely just forgot out those guys.

I'm still scratching my head over Joan Guzman. So much talent, but with his weight issues and inconsistency he has done everything he can to squander it. And yet, he's still undefeated. But boy, you wouldn't know it. Ali Funeka made him look bad.

...Immensely frustrating. I hoped for him. One of the most frustrating prospects in the last decade or two, for me. I couldn't have guessed all this time later he'd still have never gotten it done for an abc title. Granted, he wasn't challenging any slouches (MAN,JMM,John), but...eh.

I thought he was ****, waiting to be exposed.

In your defense a really horrible writer named Michael Katz was as gullible as you. Although I bet you didn't wear a neckbrace for 7 decades claiming your fat, idiotic ass was debilitated.

In fact I doubt you are fat or an idiot.

Did you still believe the hype after the Golota fight?

I thought Audley Harrison was gonna make noise.

I was high on Jermain Taylor too--he at least did something with his career.

    DUANE BOBICK,

They practically had the Gold Medal around his neck at the 1972 Olympics.
Also, proclaimed him to be a World Champion by 1975.

You could just hear the air go out of the Network Executive Heads when
Teofilo Stevenson landed that big right (the second right). BOOOOOM!!!

    Buster Douglas

After the bout with Tyson I was 100% sure that Buster would rule the HW division for many years..... yep, I was young and impressionable :patsch
