Boxing Trainer says "Mundine needs a HEART TRANSPLANT"

I'll prolly have to give myself an upper cut for trying to point out the obvious here, but here goes.
Of the 4 previous fights to Choc that Green had, were at LH (Beyer return was the exception) He went back down in weight to fight Choc at Sup. Mid. & that was his last fight at that weight.

Isn't there the tiniest of hints there that he wasn't comfortable at that weight.

And since you've got such a low opinion of him, who has Choc fought since, that would trouble Green?

Mundine also played for Saint George after he played for Brisbane, so when he retired from the NRL to take up boxing, he was at or around 86kgs.

He never struggled to keep that weight on - where do you get this stuff? Yes, he would have been doing weight training to increase his size and maintain it, but he also would have been eating a lot more back then compared to now.

You reckon Green was more than 7kgs heavier than Mundine when they fought? :rofl:rofl:rofl

Have you actually seen the fight?

Taylor only just makes it on the list but i rekon the other three would give Green problems for sure and Mundine has defeated each one of them.

Daniel Geale would defeat Green easy imo mate.
Nader Hamdan would give him troubles as would Sam Soliman, you did ask the question who would give him troubles. I think Geale, Hamdan and Soliman are classes above BJ Flores and BJ gave Green troubles.

Lets scratch Taylor off the list, that should make you happy

Soliman and Geale aren't likely to be stepping up to Green's weight.... atschand Green would destroy both as he would know that they were incapable of hurting him.:deal

 

A slightly more informed boxing panel than you'd find at 'New Idea', the magazine you seem to mention so often.

Then again, having 'Flash' on this particular panel was like asking Janette Howard who she'd vote for when 'Little' Johnny was running for re-election.


In summary:

1/ Flash Malcolm DID say there were NO rematch clauses in Choc's fight contracts, and therefore none applying to Soliman III. On that basis Soliman III was a waste of time, just as you stated earlier.

2/ Mundine DIDN'T play anywhere near as low as 73kg at the business end of his NRL career - prior to his boxing career. This is indesputable, other than from nil credability sources like Wikopedia of course.

3/ The panel of boxing 'experts' in a national boxing magazine DID in fact predict Green by a landslide in a Mundine rematch, and predominantly by KO. And yes, the 'source' HAS now been provided as you requested.

Then there's 3 blokes on that list who have tipped Mundine to win, who would tip him to beat the Klitchko Brothers. Both on the same night.

 

The thing is though, many were predicting the same before their first fight.

I doubt there will ever be a rematch. Firstly because Mundine has declined considerably, while Green has found his zone again.

Secondly, a rematch would probably be at light heavy. Considering Green has pissed and moaned about how he nearly killed himself by dropping a weight division to fight him last time, whats to say he wouldnt come out with those same excuses again?

A lose/lose scenario.
