This fight seems almost certain to happen at this point. Marquez isn't coming up to 147 lbs. Berto is not going to bring in enough fans. Mayweather still has to do the whole court thing.

That being the case, I'm wondering how many PPV buys

I could see that. It's going to be interesting to see how HBO/Arum will rebuild the image of Mosley leading up to this fight. That will be important.

I'm thinking lots of highlights of Shane beating ODLH twice, several thousand replays of Mosley hurting Floyd with the right hand and showing how much larger and stronger Mosley is than Pac.

I would have been excited about this fight maybe if Shane had looked good even against Sergio Mora. He'll be a sitting duck fighting Pacquiao with his poor stamina. Shane justs wants his retirement money. Because it's Manny, it will probably do the same or less than the Clottey fight.

I think Shane, even a shot Shane, will draw more people than Clottey could. But I guess we'll find out.

This is my own guess. They're going to have to work to make sure that the fight is marketed properly, though.

Shane's a likable, known guy. Much of the public doesn't know that he's shot, they just know that he got schooled by PBF after nearly dropping PBF with that right hand.

The hardcore boxing fan will have to be convinced, I think. But the rest of the public? Maybe not. We'll see.

Sounds like a bid on The Price Is Right (famous American game show).

I think mannys become so big- that he could fight anyone and do a million. he s bigger now than in his fight with clottey by a lot- his stardom has crossed to the mainstream.

gawd i dont want to see this fight. at all. not even as an interim fight- if it does happen- i hope manny finishes him in 3 rounds just so i dont see too much of it.

I'm actually looking forward to this fight. I like both men, and I would like to see Shane get another deserved payday. Plus, this will be a war if it happens. So, it should be a crowd-pleasing fight, much like the Margo fight was (and unlike the Clottey bunk).

    :think

If you think it won't do as well as Pac/Marg you're crazy. If this fight gets made, it's going to **** OFF a lot of boxing fans; especially a sizable percentage of Pacquiao fans. But in a patronizing/cynical way Arums prediction that "casual fans" will come out and buy this fight is true. It's ****ed up...:-:)deal

    Dude has skills..

    I think I think 1.2-1.5 Guaranteed.

I mean obviously its a money maker, but as a boxing fan I prefer Marquez.

only way to make this fight interesting is if they give shane his juice so he won't gas out like he did his previous 2 (in addition to handing the fight to lil floyd)

If TR could get Pac-Margo 1.15M PPV buys, I have little doubt Mosley will do 1-1.5M.
