Bad move for Froch as he makes 168 so easily. He only walks around at 172-173 so this wouldn't be a good idea and also unnecessary He'd beat Hopkins but then old Borenard isn't a Light Heavy anyway.
:deal That other guy really is a little *****. He's like ''Pascal is a terrible fighter and Froch is barely D level, it's digusting''. :dead Pathetic.
David has taken the words out of my mouth.Froch is a natural SMW,even out of training he's always close to 168,i'm not sure he'd be the same fighter at light heavy.Whilst i'm sure he'd beat Hopkins,i think he could be found wanting againsta "live" light heavy. Although he's spoken of a rematch with Pascal at light heavy,i think Froch can still do good business at 168,and retire healthy and financially secure.
Regarding Tavoris Cloud I think we might want to wait and see how Froch does against Johnson himself before saying things like "welcome to world level boxing". I honestly don't see any way Froch would stop him early and think it would be a hell of a fight.
:rofl Wait, you actually think those things? Froch looked great against Abraham, but this is a bit of an overreaction, don't you think? Let's have him finish clearing the field at 168 before declaring that he'd run roughshod over all the best at 175. I definitely think Pascal will win based on the bad signs in Hopkins' recent outings...a stoppage might be a stretch, however.
That part is true. However dont turn it into a nationality thing, i'm pretty sire Froch has a few American fans and certainly the repsect of a lot of them. He wants to move up after the Super Six anyway as he knows it will become more difficult for him getting to 168 in the next couple years as he heads into his mid 30's
I think I might bump this thread in March when Johnson and Froch fight. I really think Johnson is in the tournament because they were sick of all the postponements and squabbling over locations...Johnson won't care, he's fought for 12k earlier this year. He's easier to deal with.
I would take Froch to beat Cloud and (probably) Pascal. Dawson would school Froch, and just completely outbox him. Froch is always the bigger fighter, against Dawson he would be the smaller, less skilled and much slower fighter. Against Pascal, I don't know if he would repeat. Pascal has improved a lot since their first fight. Pascal would have the speed advantage. In terms of strenth, skill and chin, I'd say they're about even. What makes me lean toward Froch though, is his amazing stamina. Froch's stamina is as good as any boxer out there. Pascal on the other hand has terrible stamina. So in a rematch I don't see Pascal being able to keep up with Froch's pace, and Froch winning another UD. Against Hopkins, I think Hopkins is just too much smarter and twice as skilled as Froch. I think he would have Froch so frustrated that he'd try the same dirty tactics he used against Dirrell and rabbit punch the **** out of Hopkins every chance he got. The difference is that Hopkins wouldn't let him get away with it (and yes I do mean he'd act like he just got a concussion, it may be ***** but it works). Hopkins would confuse and frustrate Froch on way to a UD. Cloud vs. Froch, while it has the potential to be great, I think Froch could simply outbox Cloud. I wouldn't be surprised though if Cloud was able to catch Froch with his speed (and power) and KO him. I would put my money on Froch getting the UD though, just as I expect him to do against Johnson.
ATM, I would favor Froch over Dawson based on Froch's heart and making Dawson fight his fight. I would favor Froch to beat Pascal yet again, I would favor Froch to beat easy Hopkins based on Hopkins' age, and Froch's jab. He would give B-Hop major problems by outboxing him from the outside. I think Froch outlasts Cloud to win by a close UD. Anyway, that's just ATM things can change in 1 or 2 fights.
Yeah, things will be a lot clearer after he meets an actual light heavyweight (no matter what the scales say) in Johnson. :good
Could be right there, Hopkins loves surprising us though right? But yea...nobody can fight forever Would be a tough fight for sure.
