from a pr newspaper, which is always reliable, they are saying cotto has requested to start negotiations for a martinez showdown in march, arum also just stated that chavez cotto in march WILL NOT HAPPEN, that chavez needs 1 or 2 more fights at 154 before facing miguel, smells like they are already cooking something sweet up for cotto martinez in march

That's Miguel Cotto gentlemen. What a warrior! Hope Mob Arum won't stand in his way, and if he does, Miguel should pull a Mosley.

I'd be very surprised if Arum was to go down this route. He'd be feeding Cotto to a monster here.

man every1 sure is going to miss him when he retires,he is the definition of boxing and a role model for what boxers should be,fight the best always win or lose never backs down,WAR COTTO,as a cotto fan im not sure if i want this fight for all the good things that happens to his career if he wins or if i want him to stay away from martinez because one more loss n thats it for cotto,he deserves this fight and he deserves this win rip papa cotto

I heard its at a catchweight for the MW title which taints it for me.

Otherwise its a good fight in which Cotto will have to pull out miracles. He does have better boxing skill than Martinez. However PW was put out cold by a Martinez left hand. With Cottos leaky defense i can see a few of those landing.

Can Cotto take them? I really doubt it.

Anyways Cottos one of my favorites to watch so lets get ready to rumble!!!!!!!!1

I don't care about catchweight unless both man are ready to go and i see a good fight. I think people are overating Martinez win over williams. Cotto will give martinez hell.

Sounds good. The less money they have, the moar they're willing to risk to make some money.

For a title though. Specially linear?

Then why even have weight classes?

And i do think Cotto has a chance but he must fight ther perfect fight which means no trading. Knowing Cotto though doesnt seem likely.

Damn! This is what I am talking about! Cotto requesting to fight Martinez is epic. If it happens, which I hope it does, I think Martinez will win but it sure will be a good fight.
