He should be on more than Haye as he is a better fighter. And not a ****.

Shame it never works like that :-(

I don't think Sky thought much of him and they let a star slip through the fingers and thankfully Smith has recognized this and knows that Sky have to do right thing.

I don't think anyone can blame sky in this situation. they have deals with 4 promoters what more can you expect.

However if you look at it closely, Sky need Froch. Haye will be retired in a year, Khan has failed to shift the PPV's so the need a Box Office fighter that is going to be in Box Office fights.

If Froch fights Ward in the super 6 final, that fight will sell. If he wins it he has so many options. All of them Box Office. Kessler rematch, Pascal rematch, Bute to unify the titles. Beyond that fights with Cleverly and even DeGale or Groves would sell in a few years.

In an ideal world Sky wouldn't have a fixed deal with any promoters and get all of them to compete for dates by putting on the best shows. If that means more co-promotions then so be it.

I think Haye's deal with Sky is linked to how many PPVs he sells. I'm sure it was said he gets a fiver for every PPV sold so technically Sky aren't paying Haye, it's the fans.

Carl should do his own deal and cut Hennessy out.

Realistically he's got 10 fights at most remaining..... needs to make the most of those.

Hopefully he gets on, he deserves the exposure. His recent opponents shits over Khan and Haye's, so he deserves a good deal for the level of opp he faces.

I'm not sold at all on Smith being the head of boxing. Sure he's a fan which could help, but it was his idea for the Haye-Harrison PPV (by that I mean showing 1 and a bit fights from the undercard and leaving Nelson and McGuigan to hype the main event) so they're obviously thinking more towards catering for the casual fan who's only interested in the main event.

His excuse for not showing the JMM-Katsidis and Froch-Abraham fights were also pathetic. "Because it's Ashes weekend". Never mind the 5 sports channels and SBO channels. I don't really expect them to pick up Froch, but it would be nice if they did

about ****ing time. it is a farce that it has taken this long. can he be any more proven as a 168 pounder. he fights the best, come in shape, comes to fight and talks up a bit of a fight too. you have to wonder who is making the decisions for some of these tv channels.

Because you don't like his girlfriend, you prefer David Haye?

Every interview David shows up in, he's a smug **** without anyone's assistance.

Barney Francis said as much in his recent interview in Boxing Monthly then he went on to say that he gave Haymaker a date because he likes what Adam Booth has done with Haye and Groves is a talent, but "that was an exceptional case".

So, I think it is bull**** to make excuses for Sky with regards Froch. They are talking to Froch now - so why are they doing that when they already have 4 promoters signed up and apparently had no dates or budget etc? If they are willing to talk to him now then they could have done it a long time ago. And the example with Haye shows that too. Adam Smith seems to be a good influence, I wonder if this would happen if that other guy, Brown, was still in position. Perhaps he is the culprit in all of this?

But, you are right, Froch is in a stronger position now as Sky need him as much as he needs them.

I think the fact that real boxing people have made a lot of noise about what Froch did saturday night has finally made Sky realise that they have to get Froch on now. In hindsight, Hennessy knows he got way too big for his boots when Froch beat Reid. He was already with sky and im sure they would of been happy to continue showing Froch's fights until Mick asked for silly money for the Inkin eliminator, then he got the hump with them, ****ed off to itv and i bet he regrets what he did big time.
