From that, you like most, think if there was a rematch Green would win.

I'm just as confident that Green would win a rematch as I was that Mundine would win the first fight.

Mundine is way too hittable now, and thats going from when I last saw him fight (Geale fight). Green also seems to fight smarter now too.

Anyway, it's a waste of time thinking about any potential matchup as the fight will more than likely not happen. The only way I could see it happening is if it's a final swansong for either fighter just looking to go out with a load of cash.

Agree mate - it will be either their Superannuation package, or not at all.

You're right about the weights, it's not gonna happen, but if somehow they could meet at SMW, Geale would smash Green to bits.
Even Sammy would give the robot fits a for a few rounds.

Hamden and Taylor wouldn't trouble Green.

Soliman makes anyone look bad, he's just an awkward fighter.

Geale doesn't have the power to trouble Green, but he does have the skills.

Take it as fact - Roman Karmazin spent 8 days in hospital after Geale finished with him recently. :deal

Geale, as well as Grange in a very sportsman like approach haven't come out beating their chest's over it, they just quietly go about their business. Geale's not one to play on really hurting someone etc. however Karmazin was a sick and sorry lad after Geale finished with him.

Geale's skills as you said IBM are sound, however with his massive workrate, he hitting you with sheer volume also.

His power's more than fine and coupled with as I said the volume of sustained jabs and power shots, it wears you down.

I reckon a fight with Green would be a great bout. Agree to meet at a weight closer too Light Heavy and it's a great Australian bout with great Australian $ for both boys.

Obviously Geale's on the IBF Middleweight title path and a Green/Geale fight would never happen as such, but in my opinion, it would be by no means a easy win for Green.

Maybe if Geale win's the IBF Middleweight title, adding to his profile in the mainstream, he could then parlay that into a non-title fight 'catchweight' fight against Green... :hey

    Interesting thoughts Contendo.

For various reasons I don't see the bout happening either.

Reckon Geale could make Danny look pretty silly for a handfull of rounds with his workrate & accuracy - much like Mundine did - but like IBM above, I wonder if Geale has the power to keep Green off him for 10 or 12 rounds.

Geale has enormous talent but just does not have a punch,if he was matched with Green he would never knock Green out,but there's a real chance of green TKO of Geale.!!!

Geale vs Green would be Mundine vs Green all over again. Danny would be lucky to win a single round against a fighter like Geale.

Just think about it, how much would Geale spank BJ Flores? And BJ gave Green troubles. I think Geale is many classes above a BJ Flores. Hamdan would give him problems with his experiance alone and inside fighting style.

I mention these guys as well as Soliman as Pops said to name guys who Mundine has fought since Green that would trouble Green. None of these three would be easy fights for Green and its most likely why we will never see them happen. I know weight diffrence is there but in saying that im sure all guys mention would be more than happy to make Dannyweight and come in at an agreed limit.

Hamden is tailor made for Green and wouldn't last 8 rounds = Green by KO.

Soliman would be awkward. But Green is 5 inches taller, would enjoy a similar reach advantage, has oodles more power and would stop a game, but seriously outgunned Sam = Green by KO.

These two would definately not trouble Green unduly. Geale on the other hand would definately be a challenge for him.

The main reason being, Geale is after titles and live opponents, and well, Green is just after easy pay days. :deal
I would think so, Green tired against BJ's 5 punches per round, how do you think he'd hold up with Geales work rate.

I'm actually surprised so many think Green would take this, considering the shlacking Mandy gave Green.
