I've seen worse. He is very effectinve with what he does and in patches can actually look pretty good.
I get that he is well versed in the subtle nuances and a lot of his skill is timing, anticipation etc but I just don't like watching the guy in the same way I don't like watching Hopkins. Throwback or not, the sport has to have entertainment value or they may as well be playing chess in the ring
Agree with everything slip&coutner said plus I think him vs Froch will be good cause Froch won't mind playing dirty either - I certainly can't see him being bullied by Ward
On a side note, is Ward still linked with Conte? I noticed at the end of the Bika fight that Ward's back was covered in acne which could be hormonal although that would seem strange for an adult male athlete. It is however a known side effect of certain forms of anabolic steroid!!
Just a interesting theory that i have about Ward...I have a mixed race relative in the US and in the "black" community people that are light skinned are percieved to be "soft" easy to intimidate physically and mentally. It's something that would sound very strange to us, but it's a common held view over there. I think it's one of the reasons Andre feels he has to show his toughness, impose himself physically from the get go, not be bullied and get the better of the rough house tactics. It's why he fought Allen Green the way he did because Green was talking all that jive before the fight. Basically saying Ward is "soft" and not tough enough.
That's kind of one thing that worries me, it's pretty noticeable & working with Victor Conte can only raise suspicions around him. Interesting point, he strikes me a somewhat of a wolf in sheeps clothing. He seems like a great dude, down to earth ETC, but push him or **** him off in anyway and he'll beat the beejesus out of you. Seeing him in interviews outside of the ring it's kind of a surprise to see how roughhouse he can be when he gets in the ring
It's the WBA 'Super' title :nut Strange one, I know. Quite why it looks like the Ring title I'm not sure. I'm also not sure why they gave him a 'regular' title and a 'Super' title if he's only the 'super' champion. Sanctioning bodies move in strange ways, I guess.

Cant help but feel if its a Ward-Froch final, Froch is gonna really take the **** outta Ward with the whole god preaching stuff. But it will be fun and tongue and cheek kinda humour from Froch, not a tasteless git like Haye kinda humour.
