Don't take this as a racial thing

If Pacquiao or Mayweather could be white. We all hear about the great white hope. I'm sure America wants a great fighter of their own that's white( like a Freddie Roach or Billy Collins Jr.). Would America be more proud if Pac was white or if Floyd was white. Pacquiao who is all heart and just deastroy his opponent one after another or Mayweather with his fancy moves.

Pacquiao would have the legend of jack dempsey even if he only fights four times in five years

Well, the white media is already on emmanuel's nuts, and he isn't even white. You know the answer.

Can you inmagine Pacquiao or Mayweather as a white kid coming out wearing a USA trunk possibly to the tune of ,'Living in America' with a ring entrance like the movie , "Rocky".

C'mon Leon... The media was in Floyd Jr's corner... that was BEFORE he lied about negotiations. If the media is, as you say "all over Pac's nuts" it's Mayweather's fault. Floyd was the American Olympian. He pissed the goodwill away...:thumbsup

Floyd came out to Born in the USA when it came time to beat up Ricky Hatton. Americans don't have the same patriotic feeling towards their fighters like foreigners do. Keep in mind Floyd did flag the red, white, and blue during the '96 ATLANTA Olympics.

They just admired Pacquiao because he's just a great fighter and warrior. If Pacquiao was a white kid like Freddie Roach I'm sure he would be everywhere...his face would be on the bus, building, household item, food carton. PAC would stand to make some serious doughs with alot of sponsors.

They were never in Floyd's corner.

emmanuel was used as an endorser for some American politician to get votes. They wouldn't have given emmanuel the role if Mainstream, white, America didn't love him.

You ever heard of the phrase model minority? emmanuel fits that, and Mainstream America loves it.

Leon, you're really really stretching... Muhammed Ali was FAR from being the "model minority", but he was still beloved. And back then the media wasn't even as close to being fair or open minded. You're just making excuses for Floyd Jr.

The media was looking at Pacquiao with some suspicion, because of the testing issue. You aren't looking at the situation honestly if you don't think the "no negotiations" hurt his integrity. Then he issued that statement of not having the "urge", his racist rant, assaulting the mother of his kids and you have the makings of a 100 car train wreck.

All Floyd has to do is look in the mirror to remind him why he's in this position. :nono:smoke

In my opinion not long enough. The thing about Ali was that despite all the outrageous and hurtful talk ( especially, when it came to Frazier) he backed it up. So while maybe their was what you call "hate", the respect as a boxer was still there. Something that with Floyd Mayweather Jr. being on this vacation, he AIN'T DOING!!! :smoke
