Harrison had a game plan. But it was the wrong gameplan. He should not of waited for the later rounds, etc. I thought he was going to come out fired up and throws bombs from round 1. I was wrong - he just reverted back to type. He's a **** fighter - but a good guy.
Good news, the guys still the biggest character in British boxing. I for one will be glad to see him again and when he does fight he'll get massive viewing figures again because tho no one will admit it, the guy's intriguing.
There's a lot of truth in that. And people also like things they've heard of. Mr average TV viewer is more likely to watch Harrison again than Froch, because he's heard of Harrison. He'll watch to see if he's bad, to boo him and most of all to say how he could beat him. But he won't watch Froch because he's not heard of him. It's the McDonalds Theory.
It's sad. Just wrote an article for Yahoo UK titled "Froch deserves better." Then the story that Harrison would fight on broke and took precedence. Over 70 comments about Harrison, 3 comments about Froch. Sums it up.
A plea to Audley Harrison, who apparently reads the various boxing forums: Please, please, please, please for the love of God, please, pretty please with sugar on top, please just ****ING RETIRE FOR **** SAKE. Seriously Audley - I think I speak for everyone here when I say JUST **** OFF BACK TO AMERICA, HANG UP THE GLOVES AND LEAVE US THE **** ALONE. Thank you.
It'll be Harrison/Sprott III next. Sadly, more people will watch that than Frochs next fight. Audley is a ****ing freak show, people will tune in and he'll keep on fighting.....
