I used to spar without headgear or those that didn't cover much of the cheeks and nose opting to see and move better. Now that I'm holding an office job I can't really risk getting bruised and I really like the winning headgear that cover the nose. The only thing is that the winning headgear is a bit pricey and I'd rather spend the money after I getting some other needs taken care of first.

In the meantime I've found these similar head-gears' for affordable prices so I wanted to see if anyone here has tried them or would recommend any of them?

I have the Everlast Facesaver. It is very good for protection for the temples, cheeks, head, mouth area but not for the chin. Definitely recommended for sparring.

I've been looking at headgear with the bar, for the same reason. Office job. Who wants a broken nose from their favorite hobby? Not me.

Winning is superior because it comes sized, instead of a "one size fits most", which keeps it from moving around. The OSFM options can move on your head, allowing punches in and the bar/guard to come back and damage the nose.

    From the research I've done:

    Winning FG 5000:
Pros: Seems to be the best quality, is used by pros like Pacquaio
    Cons: Cost
    Cost: $370.00

    FightGear:
    Pros: Comes sized
Cons: (don't know anything about them)
    Cost: ($89)

    Of the OSFM headgear:

    Cleto Reyes
Pros: Said to be good padding
Cons: The bar is metal and headgear is heavy. They felt like Darth Vader.
    Cost: ($150 +/-)

    Everlast FaceSaver:
Pros: Reviews say padding and fit are good.
Cons: Large. Probably made in a sweatshop in China.
    Cost: $99

Let me know if you get a chance to try them out, I'd be curious to hear a review from someone who has actually used it.

I'm leaning towards saving for the Winning headgear. I only have one brain and one handsome face, and they are priceless.

ok, how about a maximum head protection headgear, for those of us who have been concussed and want to preserve our brains?

Unfortunately no boxing headgear will save you from concussion. They are only good from saving you from cuts and bruises.

You can try sock-em bop-em inflatables :D (just kidding)
