The Ring rankings drive me mad

Kessler and Dirrell at this time could not pass a medical examination to fight and have declared themselves unable to box at this time so they shouldn't be ranked.

Where were the quotes from Dirrell, was only rumours from that I understand.

 

What is it with ****ing Bute? I don't why he gets ranked so highly. It seems to be a boon for him NOT to be in the Super Six, rather than fighting the best SMW's in it. As much as I like Froch, and see how people can have him No.1, I've still got to put him at No.2 behind Ward. Ward did beat Kessler and Froch lost to Kessler. I know that's ****ing basic but it is what it is. Hopefully all will be sorted out if ( as I expect/hope ) Ward and Froch meet sometime next summer for which in my ( and many others who aren't swooning over Bute ) view will be for a definitive No.1 SMW. And, hey, the winner of that can fight Bute then there'll be NO debate! If only it'll run that smoothly until then..............

 

Froch has to pass by Johnson first.

 

Lots of fighters couldn't pass medical exams at a certain moment in time due to cuts, hand injuries etc. That doesn't mean they are "techically retired" (whatever that means!) or lose their rankings. Lets be honest though, Dirrell would fly though a medical tomorrow, theres **** all wrong with him.

You've pointed out some genuine issues with The Ring rankings but the continued ranking of Kessler and Dirrell is correct and in line with how things usually work in these instances. Don't try and find fault just for the sake it...

TBH Mand posted a thread with a link that I only skimmed so I wouldn't swear on it. I'd be willing to bet though that Dirrell is back in action before the start of the summer.:deal

 

and if he is back he won't be deserving of a ranking.

 

He's been found too boring for HBO and he's royally shafted Showtime so hopefully he'll be getting what he deserves when he comes back looking for TV dates (ie. nothing!!!)
