I've been watching lots of Bernard Hopkins's fights and his defense and overall ring generalship is amazing. However, I'd like to know which fight of his showcases his skills to the fullest. What was Bernard Hopkins's best performance?
I would say he was at his peak offensively in the Glen Johnson fight. Past his physical peak but on top of his technical in the Trinidad fight. The Pavlik fight was also a amazing showcase of his skills at an advanced age.
Pavlik was young and all yeah ok, but B.Hop's performance aganist Trinidad as been the best display of boxing I have ever seen. That along with Mayweather/Corrales. No one has ever dominated those fighters like PBF/B.Hop. Not to mention that Corrales/Tito were at the top of their game.
i liked his performance against pavlik considering his age but i think his best performance was against trinidad the way he schooled him considering how good tito was bhops a top 5 middleweight atg deffintly
i think his calzaghe performance was underrated he did well to shut calzaghe down whilst doing everything he could to not get into exchanges with him and upset his rhythm b hop is smart as ****, even when he went down in round 10 after low blow, calzaghe's rhythm was ****ed and he started beating on calzaghe again with the only round i had b hop winning after round 6 had he got into exchanges calzaghe would have found rhythm and would have been unstoppable, like he had been his whole career the whole time he was just sapping calzaghe's wanting to fight, in the position he was in calzaghe was just hoping he would get him in the next round til like 9 rounds had gone and enzo started going crazy and got joe doing enough to win in the judges eyes but his best performance was against tito, he was incredible that night and pavlik was a great win aswell
