Is this a Calzaghe-Lacy situation, where Williams will never be the same after the fight as was the case with Lacy?

i dont think so. Williams has shown incredible resiliency in the way he avenged his loss to Quintana. He'll bounce back no problem and with the right adjustment he can defeat Martinez.

 

It will be interesting to see if Williams becomes a bit more gunshy after this KO loss.

 

Obviously too early to tell. If he did, possibly mor mentally then physically.

 

I like Williams, so I hope he can bounce back. I think he can, too.

Williams will probably look at the video, see the punch, and ask himself, "How the **** did I get hit with that?" Hopefully he will figure out that defense actually does matter.

 

How the **** would we know without any evidence(his next few fights)?

And you can't compare Martinez-Williams to Calzaghe-Lacy. Williams was knocked out in the second round. Lacy endured a sustained ass-whooping

 

And there could be a positive outta this ala' MAB. Might force Williams to tighten his game up. Improve his D and maybe incorporate some technique to his volume punching.

 

Exactly, like Booradley said above. If Paul can tighten his game a bit, then there's no reason he can't keep going strong.
