By not entering ino the spirit of the competition and taking fights abroad, like everyone else has to.

He's like one of those kids that everyone knew who would only play out when he got everything his own way.

Cintron may be a cry babie or whatever you want to some of u but he's fought Margarito (twice), Martinez, Angulo and Williams (with PW's ref. & judges) and was actually beating Williams convincingly b4 the freak resultS (falling out of the ring & getting a loss dec. in a fight that was stopped b4 the end of the 4th due to an accidental injury??).:-( Only with PW's ppl.... Anyways, u can't argue is a nice resume of opposition.

The reality that anyone is talking about him fighting at home or the headbutts or any of that **** is clear incontrovertible evidence of one single fact. The boxing media takes ALL of it's cues from US. Not that this hasn't already been established.

How exactly did he earn the right to fight Kessler at home? Kessler was the former champ, more experienced and the bigger name but he had no problem fighting away from home.

Ward has been better than his opponents so far, no doubt about that but it doesn't seem fair that he's the only guy who doesn't have to step out of his comfort zone.

    Thank You IB!:happy
Making these outrageous demands of only fighting in his hometown with these level of fighters in S6 is not an advantage gained in the bargaining table but a slap in the face (*** style/without a glove) to the other competitors... c'mon rummy, that's not to difficult to figure out?!?!?

That was clearly a SHOWTIME SETUP. American network serving it's own interests. The Europeans were so overconfident of a Kessler victory they barely cried about it at the time. All that's changed of course.

So U.S fighters should get all the advantages just because of where they were born?

While I agree that he's very skilled and possibly much more skilled than Kessler has ever been even in his prime I have to say that I have never, ever seen a fight being allowed to be fought like his fight against Kessler, Green or Bika. It's simply not boxing imo. He's good at what he does, and it works, but only because he's allowed to do it.

I supported Ward when coming up...but it's ridiculous he has had all these home town fights in this tournament. To say he has earnt the right is ******ed, he's not above anyone else.

When exactly did he "earn" that?
I'm really starting to hope he gets humbled soon... What a twat! :-(

I had to look and thankfully ward has fought in the caribbean a couple times, otherwise we'd have our own ottke going.

Ottke never left germany, ward has thankfully.
