i personally think Lewis would never stop Vitali again if they fought in any era, that cut repeating itself was slim and no chance of a Lewis KO.

:rofl Vitali has never faced anyone as good as Lewis.........Oh wait, that's right, he has, and he lost to a shot, fat unmotivated Lewis who had shredded Vitali's face to pieces :patsch

Don't make a fool of yourself. Klitschko has never faced a fighter even remotely close to Lewis's greatness or skill. The mere suggestion of such a thing is completely ridiculous.

'97 Lewis by brutal KO in 3 rounds, unless the referee jumps in to save him, before he's left blinking on the cold canvas.

That's possible, for Foreman is pretty slow and Lewis fought hard hitters his whole career. Plus he's much bigger than Foreman and he's much better boxer..and he power may be slightly less, but not by much. Yes Lewis was KO'd twice but if you figure that he receives about 40 punches a round and fought for about 50 fights that's thousands of punches that have been thrown his way, and yes, two caught him good.

I would say Lewis wins a UD..or a stoppage like they had in their fight but with Lewis actually winning. To say Lennox KO's Vitali, well while its possible its not easy to imagine that when you consider Vitali's iron cheeeen, and the fact that his chin and skills were easily as good as those that did take Lewis the distance when he was younger like Tucker.

I think the gameplan going into the Vitali fight was wrong and was something i've never seen Lewis do before...he never was a go toe to toe and slug it out before against anyone. I really think that Manny Steward and Lewis thought Vitali was just untested and a big clumsy fighter that wasnt that good and that he would fold under the kind of pressure that Lewis was gonna dish out...only I think they grossly underestimated Vitali's skills and chin! I think a younger Lewis or had the rematch have happend would have shown a different fight and a different game plan from Lewis...more boxing and moving around and definately not slugging it out.

Well actually he did and he won. Guess you missed it - you might want to watch it.

But due to the amount of blood spilt and damage inflicted to one of the fighters, I think it comes with a warning that it may be unsuitable for children, so you may have to wait a few years.

Guess you missed the ending cause I believe you're the only one on this board who doesn't know who won the fight.

You really need to brush up on the rules, cause it was deemed an accidential cut it would have been stopped and it would have went to the cards, but that's not what happened, because it wasn't ruled an accidental cut.

I can only assume you're pretty new to the sport and haven't really watched much boxing because the basic rules seem to allude you.

So, someone decides to make an alt account, then see if they can get 30000 replies to something that has been done to death.

Seriously, is there anything to be said that has not already been said?

No. So let it go. No need to post any more.

You're not too far off the mark. with some of these Klitschko fanatics, it's almost like a discussion bordering on a "boxing for idiots" thread. I know they're young but damn, some of them don't even understand on what basis Lewis won the fight.

They seem to think that when a fight is stopped whoevers winning on the cards, won the fight. It's amazing that they cling to that, despite the rules of boxing being explained to them over and over and over again.

I hear you. All these discussions eventually conclude with: "Accidental cut. Vitali 58:56 over Lewis on scorecards" and "Lewis TKO6 Vitali". I was just making my contribution.
