Two smart boxers and great counter punchers.

    So who takes it?

Schmeling would batter Quarry in to a bloody pulp.

    Part styles, part consistency.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Schmeling by a TKO, on cuts.

I think Quarry manages to keep it competitive though.

Schmeling gets the better of the counter-punching I imagine, though it could be an awkward fight.

I like Schmeling here by decision or TKO but Quarry was tough and on a good night he may reverse it

Yup, if Quarry is on his A game this is a great, close fight I think.

    Quarry

    I think he's better.

Was it Janitor that said Schemling was more consistent? Not sure I agree with that, I just think Quarry fought consistently better opposition.

Quarry. By decision, I think. It took a pretty concentrated, feverish battering to get Quarry out of there, and Schmeling just wasn't that kind of fighter.

Schemling could batter a mother-****er like it was nobodies business. Who has told you different? Battering people was pretty much his thing. He was a ruthless, methodical attrition puncher.

But he was methodical about it, as you mentioned. It would take a brute like a Frazier, or a guy with such overwhelming advantages like an Ali to get him out of there. Forget the Norton fight, I hope we're not considering that as what Quarry was capable of.

To blast Quarry out you needed to be bigger and stronger than he was, and needed to outdo him in either spped or muscle. Schmeling had neither of these advantages.

I don't think Schmeling would stop Quarry necessarily (though it is a possibility), but batter him Schemling would over the course of the last third of the fight. Out of curiosity what advantages do you see Quarry having in this fight?

    How big is your butt.

Sal has it down perfectly. My thoughts as well. Well done.
