Yeah, but they only account for a fraction of the buying audience for this PPV (overwhelmingly Mexican, with a smattering of Pinoys, Poles and Ukrainians...as well as just all-around non-nationalist fight fans like us).

I'd expect that PPV doesn't do even close to half the same numbers as this one (and it isn't like this one is going to be setting any records as it is).

Did you not see what he did over the course of rounds 3-7? :blood

It wasn't poetry in motion, but he took a good fighter and broke him completely down and ripped his heart out.

    Mikey Garcia vs. Olivier Lontchi

    Round 1

Garcia flicks out a body jab. He's in no hurry to heat up. Lontchi tosses a flurry his way and continues to circle and stay tight. Garcia ropes in a counter as Lontchi opens himself up punching on the turn. Lontchi tries a lunging lead right from the outside and quickly backs out after missing. Lontchi is teetering from side to side with his entire upper body in front of Garcia. Lontchi is backed up with a quick hook. Garcia fires a few jabs down the middle and gets caught between Lontchi's gloves. Lontchi tries a quick chest-level hook and is off balance long enough for Garcia to crack him with a straight right that knocks him back a couple of feet and up on his toes.

Not much to split there, Garcia landed a little heavier. 10-9

Chavez is off the PPV. Wolak fought someone else, and scored a TKO.

Middleweight contender Pawel Wolak (28-1, 18 KOs), who was originally slated to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in the main event, survived a rocky start against late sub Jose Pinzon (19-2-1, 13 KOs) but came through with a seventh round TKO. Wolak was knocked down and badly hurt in round two, but survived Pinzon’s follow-up attack and turned the fight around in the following rounds, finally putting Pinzon out on his feet in round seven. Round 2

Hard jabs from Garcia have Lontchi nodding involuntarily. Lontchi tries to flurry over the Garcia jab but is having a hard time getting his punches to whistle in from the sides as Garcia just steps right through and plants knuckles on his nose. Lontchi uses some good movement on the outside and gets into position to throw some quick lead power punches but pulls the trigger on all of them a tick too early and comes up short as the agile Garcia backs away. Garcia continues to work his jab through the whacking incoming side punches of Lontchi.
