Donaire is a FilAM who I feel has milked a career out of one fight against Vic Darchinyan. Needs to step up the comp...although I hear this Sdirenko guy is halfway decent.

    Myth.

Aside from Vic, he has several wins over B and C level fighters, almost all in dominant fashion (which elevates the level of win).

If he beats Sidorenko and Montiel his resume will be very nice.

Turned pro in 2001.He is 25-1 bantamweight a switch hitter not as experienced has a good amateur background looks like he hasn't improved and might need a bit more fights.Kid was born in BOHOL Island, moved to General Santos and then to the States. Nick name jun-jun ( junior) and is Bisaya ( southern philo). His tagalog (northern Phil language) might as well speak english coz he speaks half in tagalog the other half in english entirely (tagalish).

This guy looks good, but before ranking him p4p material people need to remember what happened with Chad Dawson, Paul Williams and countless other fighters who most thought would be unstoppable stars. P4P ought to be based on resume, not potential. Ranking Donaire top 10 p4p at this point is just wrong.

I agree 100%. For me Donaire might be top 10 material if he beats Montiel. Donaire has a nice resume with some quality opponents, but I agree it's too soon to be ranking him top 10 and top 5, IMO.

Oh he logged in. He went to another thread and punched in this illuminating tidbit

    "
I refuse to accept this result. Sidorenko fought the wrong fight. He obviously wanted to impress American judges and American audiences and abandoned his Euro-level fundamentals in the process.. He didn't want to get robbed. He knew he wouldn't get the decision.

There needs to be a rematch in a neutral venue. Why should a Euro-level athlete like Sidorenko have to travel to Anaheim, California to fight a domestic titleholder like Nonito Donaire. If this fight were held in Ukraine, Sidorenko wouldn't have had to worry about adjusti ng his style. He would have stuck to the Euro-level gameplan and stopped Donaire.

It sickens me to see American athletes lure Euro-level professionals like Sidorenko to America so they can have unfair advantages. "
