Montiel is another kind of fighter, the one you don't want to b across the ring from you, Montiel by brutal beating.

    Montiel aint no Seedorkyo.

Montiel has been in the game for much longer and has the experience thats overlaps Donaire's.

    Montiel TKO10 Donaire

Donaire is a Pinoy slick fighter. Perhaps, a Floyd look-alike in movement.
    Montiel is doomed!

So you're thinking Asians excel in boxing because of A-side Meff?

Barrera had ample experience when he first fought Pac.
    Look what happened?
Inexperienced Tyson became a heavyweight champ at 20.

I favour Donaire but this is a big step up in class for him. He's looked hungry for it last night and his post fight interview shows how focused he is on the Montiel fight which is good.

Donaire showed how complete he was this evening, movement, technical skills, power, quick hands and countering ability. I think he'll put on a great show in Febuary but i wouldn't count Montiel out at all, i thought Hasegawa would do the same against Montiel and we all saw how that went

Really looking forward to this one. It was good to see Donaire looking spectacular against a live opponent but Montiel is a step up in class again.

I think this is a 50/50 fight. If anything, I'd say Montiel has a slight advantage because he's been fighting high-level competition, while Donaire's opposition has been woeful.

If he beats Montiel, he'll finally justify the lofty position he holds in most P4P lists.

Darchinyan definitely has the better resume between the two when they moved into super fly, but at bantam Donaire is ahead after his destruction of Sidorenko regardless of the international title Darchinyan won against Barcelona.

To be honest I think the rematch is all but dead and buried. With Vic locked into the tourney and Donaire against Montiel with a good chance of moving up if he wins convincingly they're are going to miss each other's paths.
