If the American Revolutionary war had been held on British turf, would the British have won?

Because as far as I see it, the only reason the Americans won is because of dirty tactics and home-cooking. The red coats were a superior fighting army but were unused to to the illegal, cheating tactics of the Americans, not to mention the bad refereeing.

The fact that the local populace decided to fight with the brits tells its on story. Not to mention what happened to the native indians after the US got its independence. Very sad.

    Anyway back to boxing......

:good Cool, thanks guys for the answers. I'm a bit surprised and not too surprised at some of the answers. Like, I would have thought that most people would know most of the Frank Warren fighters like Kevin Mitchell, Tyson Fury, James DeGale, Nathan Cleverly, etc. would be somewhat household names. I wasn't too sure about Carl Froch because I guess ITV (I think) hardly shows his fights or something along those lines. A bit bummed, I guess I won't be moving to the U.K. afterall. Anyway, thanks you guys for the answers I appreciate it. :good

When it comes to boxing I think Cuba kicks everybodies ass. Boxing in America is on the decline and as well as competing with other sports and entertainments it is coming under real pressure for MMA which seems to have evolved and be supported by the video gaming industry.

I let this **** slide, because I feel sorry for you Brits, because a large portion of your women look like horses.

Well that wasn't what i was getting at because USA have always traditionally one of the big winners now they've been relegated to a point where they barley medal.

We don't do basketball properly, and wrestling i cant really classify as a proper sport, more like homo erotic soft core porn.

Soccer, by that i believe you mean football we have the best domestic league in the world.

And hockey who the **** cares about hockey i know i don't. I'm not super duper patriotic so I'm not going to argue like I am.

Boxing isn't big in the UK.

    It is certainly behind;

    Football (Soccer)
    Cricket
    Rugby Union
    Rugby League
    Golf

plus probably a few more such as darts, snooker, horse racing etc.

Most people in the UK know of Mayweather, Pacquiao, Harrisson, Haye & Khan. Hardly anybody even knows who Carl Froch is.

    really?

I disagree with that statement you made,

considering the majority of american women weigh more than their car
