Pacquiao and Donaire are Pinoys. Nothing wrong to be fan of them. Aren't you? I'm a fan of other boxers before Pacquiao : SRL, Duran, Hearns, Hagler, Ali, Foreman, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, etc. name them, I know everyone of them. Do you this guy Vito Antofuermo who gave Hagler the scare of his life? No, you don't.

Raised in America but acts like he's born and raised in the PI. Was insultive to Pac(pre DLH) of how "flawed" he is. :twisted: 5. Very arrogant but hasnt accomplished **** yet, still living off that one win. :dead 6. Trained by Robert Garcia. :nono 7. And I read an interview awhile back saying that "HE SHOULD" be getting the same praise and respect that Pac was getting from the Filipino fanbase. :fire Nonito doesnt fool me one bit.
I don't think he can duplicate Pacquiao's achievements. He's already 29 at bantamweight. If he does well in this weight, he can probably go up to junior lightweight. He's actually taller than Pacquiao by a quarter of an inch.
I admire Donaire as a boxer regardless of his personal circumstances. He was born in Bohol Philippines to Filipino parents. He is therefore a 100% Filipino. He grew up in General Santos City and went to the same school where Pacquiao also attended. His parents left him to immigrate to the US and brought him there several years after. It's not his fault if his parents became US citizens.
I am a fan of both Pac and Donaire. If you are a fan of the sport like you claim to be, how is it you only ever discuss Pac? atsch
What's wrong with being trained by Robert Garcia? Nonito apparently has clicked with Robert's style of training and motivation.
For the fact that he is the best fighter in the world today. If SRL, Hearns Hagler and Duran were still active today, I would have discussed more about them. Same with late Salvador Sanchez who had impressive wins over tough competitors like Nelson, Gomez, Danny Lopez, Laporte, Cowdell, Garcia etc. I was a fan also of Alexis Arguello who broke the hearts of Pinoy fans when he knocked out a promising Pinoy prospect Andy Ganigan, and also his tormentor Aaron Pryor who knocked him out twice.
So you're only interested in P4P #1 and couldn't be bothered with anyone else. That backs up my argument. There are lots of interesting fighters and fights out there.
I read somewhere that his mother is Manny and Buboy's elementary teacher, and that Buboy is Nonito's protector from school bullies.
I agree with you. There are also other interesting fighters. I also post in the threads of these fighters, Martinez, Canelo, Litzau, Juanma Lopez, etc. I think I don't need to discuss with you in this thread my boxing knowledge. Btw, check the Soto-Marquez thread that I posted.
With Donaire.... I am more impressed by his Athleticism... he has good fundamentals too, but his athleticism... reminds me of a young Mayweather back when he was pretty boy floyd back at jr lightweight... but the way he puts his combos together (when he starts jumping around) and from different angles is VERYYYYYYYYY RJJ like. This guy will be a superstar if he stays focused... I can see it in him.
