:huh This is exactly why nobody bothers with you anymore...you seem to be making up your own arguments and responding to them. You come across as an irrational poster with a huge chip on their shoulder, using every opportunity to vent negativity.
You don't bother with me because you don't know very much about the sport of boxing. If you did, you would try to refute my points.
What you fail to understand is that I'm not going to refute something like "Perhaps in your mind, Wlad has the lateral mobility of Ali despite never proving it once in his career." because I never made such a claim to begin with. Go blow yourself, it would be more productive.
-I believe staying as mobile as possible, maintaining as much distance as possible, and doing everything he can to avoid trading with Liston would be in Wlad's best interest; win or lose. -Even if Wlad won or actually even looked remotely good against Sanders, I still feel it would be the wrong away approach Liston..let alone get blown out in 2 rounds by a fringe contender. -Cleveland Williams is a terrible blue print for Liston, so what he hurt him a few times, he ended up getting counter punched to death and brutally battered inside a few rounds..TWICE!
I'm not a Wlad hater, I just want people to start being more realistic about who he is. As far as staying away from Liston though I disagree on the grounds that I don't think he is mobile enough to maintain that game plan and he doesn't have the counterpunching ability to caplitalize off of Liston's mistakes who will have the physical tools and ability to tag Klitschko. This means Klitschko will have to move his upperbody to avoid his punches and this is something he has not shown he is very capable at. The reason why I chose a younger Klitschko is because he was more fluid with better movement. And I think you're underestimating the Wlad that was blown out by Sanders. I think it was just a bad matchup for Wlad, but it would be worse if he tried to box more cautiously. He may have lasted longer, but he would have lost every round and eventually been cornered and knocked out in my opinion. You have to remember though, the version of Wlad that lost against Sanders was a very dynamic heavyweight that just had (two fights back) arguably the best win of his career against Ray Mercer. He was also highly endorsed by the networks as the next great successor at heavyweight.
No, your just an attention *****. Or incredibly dumb and obsessed. I haven't really figured it out yet nor can I be bothered to. Topics started by you in General...in just the last damn month: "Wlad's true COLORS once again..." "Why was Wlad scared to rematch Sanders? " " This content is protected " " This content is protected " " This content is protected " Ok, so basically Wlad is a ***** and only you can see through the lies..blah blah blah. Thanks for the realism. :hi: I will be ignoring you.
Correct about punching up and down. The fight could go either way. I like Liston early, and Wlad late.
Tyson's ability to score over the jab is pretty ideal for beating Wlad, but he'll have to take him out early. If it goes late, Tyson becomes more hittable and less active offensively, if Wlad is still standing, he'll rack up some points. Liston would probably beat any version of Wlad as well..problem is that if you post negative things about the man on a daily basis, ignore facts, and continously bait...crediblity takes a nosedive. :think
True enough. Wlad is a decent champion with a great jab that knows how to use his size and strength better than probably any super heavyweight ever. And while I personally find his style boring and predictable... in fact almost unwatchable, it certainly gets results and works perfectly for him.
Yeah, the thing with Wlad is that if he can win the fight with his jab alone he'll do just that. He's an offensive minimalist that does just enough to control the distance for most of the fight. But its kept him active and healthy so hard to knock him for it. I think his last really fun fight was against Brock, Thompson and Peter II were ok.
Not seen the rematch with Peter yet. I heard that apart from the first round it was pretty one sided though.
I agree that Wlad doesn't have the mobility necessary to stand a chance against Liston. Liston was fast. People don't think of him that way because the lasting image of him is Ali dancing around him. But Liston would chase you up and down the ring, something heavyweights today just don't do. Wlad is unstoppable...against the straight up standing overweight immobile heavyweights of today. I still give him credit, it's harder than we make it sound, but against Liston? He wouldn't last 4 rounds
c'mon man, liston was great and he would be the favorite against wlad, but he sure isn't fast for a 6ยด0 and 205-210 guy.wlad has faster hands and feet than liston
