This is my top 10 list. Where do those few people who voted 2-10 fit Manny in
    1. SRR
    2. Henry Armstrong
    3. Ali
    4. Joe Louis
    5. Willie Pep
    6. Sugar Ray Leonard
    7. Benny Leonard
    8. Roberto Duran
    9. Jack Johnson
    10. Jack Dempsey

You can reorganize anyway you want, but where would you fit Manny in there

I don't mean to insult but I think Dempsey is very overrated. I think he is one of those guys that gets put in top 10 lists because people keep saying it to eachother and make him more popular instead of his resume.
I also would like to know where langford is in that list, I would either rank him arguello ezzard charles whitaker, joe gans, greb, roy jones jr, pacquiao over him and jack johnson.
But that does not mean I have them all top 10 or something.
Here is a clip of Ali breaking down Dempsey:

To be honest, I wasn't real sure of myself when I made it. I looked at other top 10 lists and looked there and averaged them out

Yes thats exactly what I think is the problem, a lot of people make lists based on other lists and what is assumed common by people who seem to know their boxing.
Im 23 years old and over the recent years I studied a lot of fighters from the Ali period till now, and I think im capable of making a fair honest judgement of who to rate where in that timeperiod. But Oldtimers is more difficult for me. I only saw some fights, highlights and read things but can I really place someone at a place just on that? So therefore that actually makes me unqualified to say pac is top 20, because one would actually ahve to know the whole history of the sport and all the major fighters. That would take a very long time. I think 95% of the people here have not seen all the great fighters boxing has given to us. So that means only people on the classic section and some people here are capable of making that lists, but they sometimes appear biased a bit to me by ranking oldtimers very highly and modern fighters relatively low, that seems a bit unfair to me.

I put Pac in the 30 to 40 range right along with Mayweather. As far as who is ahead of the other, when they fight and in the way the loser loses, will be one of the deciding factors for me.

And to the 4 who voted Pac as GOAT, we know the man is spiritual, we know hes a congressman, we know the man has a voice of an angel, and is an actor comparable to Humphery ****in Bogart, but you cant be serious.

Yeah I know what you're saying. I personally haven't seen that many Sugar Ray Robinson fights, but I know that he's the best based on what other people say. People rate Roberto Duran higher than Sugar Ray Leonard, but I personally thing Sugar is better, but I can't rate fighters older than that as well.
I know also with Dempsey though is he overrated, he is a good p4p fighter to defeat 6'6 245lb Jesse Willard while Jack was a small heavyweight at 187lbs.

If you remove the extremes (GOAT, 50-100, outside top 100) you see the graph is skewing towards 11-20, which is where most in the boxing industry have Pac at the moment. Good job ESB.
