Apparently Moore wore the same trunks in the Maxim and Marciano fight, and Marciano and Maxim wore the exact colors of eachother against Moore, and both were in a very Marciano/Maxim esque pose with only black curly hair showing.
I was just playing. Either way, that fight is only three years before the Marciano fight. He was still jacked in '55.
Yeah Archie Moore was a bit of an upper body beast really for a light heavy - apparently he used to do handstands against the gym was and then do pushups from that handstands position taking his whole bodyweight!!!:admin Pretty immense really - for a light heavy he had bigger biceps than say Tyson or Holy - and he wasn't juiced!! It's funny against the smaller heavies, like Rock and Floyd, Archie actually looked more like the heavy in there PS Oscar looks damn fine in that avatar pic with that pencil thin tash thing going on :hey
Dougie, thanks for this photo feast...They are priceless. A few of them i saw in person, such as Graziano flattening a n acquaintance of mine Harold Green at MSG. So many observations to make on each photo, but too much involved . One comment...Years ago Nat Fleischer said that Stanley Ketchel who young Nat saw fight in Ny,was the most handsome fighter he ever saw, and your photos proved Nat correct...Keep em cummin, Dougie...b.b.
Great to see this old favourite back in action again!! at work at the minute can people try to keep it up towards the top til I get home later in about 7 hours - will dig out some more pictures for this thread later - peace out

Awesome! I especially love that rare Liston-Foreman scene. What's cool about it is how big Sonny looks....he looks as big as the young George there. Would've love to see those guys spar...or better yet, fight!
