mr bellew is a very confident boxer, and deserves respect for taking on a tough customer like ovill mkenzie, i had my doubts that this would come of, ovill is a good allrounder, he can take cruiser punches, has power himself, along with good stamina and natural awkwardness, up to yet we know tony can punch, will he get the chance to show that he has more than that up his sleeve.:think:good
Wouldn't be sure on the good stamina part. Ajisafe took Ovil's best and took him to the later rounds when he was out of steam. I can see the first three or four rounds being a war and providing they both get through it Bellew taking control late on. Ovil is dangerous will have that punch for all 12 rounds.
Bellew showed mental weakness in his last fight against very limited opposition, if Ovil troubles him Bellew could fold....COULD 50/50 fight for me this although I hope Bellew's last fight was a blip. He seems a decent fella.
It could be a tough fight but that is what he needs at this stage of his career. It should be a good fight and i think Bellew will win either by late stoppage or by points and will learn allot from this fight.
Tony has said on here he wants good tough fights. The fella wants a challenge not a pushover. He was more delighted than anyone when this fight was made.
Styles make fights and Ovil shouldn't give Tony the same problems Ajisafe did. Bellew won't be made to miss and frustrated as much here, as long as Tony works behind and establishes that jab, measures Mckenzie with the 1 then brings over that backhand with precision then he should get him out of there. It sounds basic but that's what someone like Tony needs to perfect, with his leverage and power a sound, precise, accurate, timed 1,2 would be very hard to deal with at this level. I wonna see Tony being more patient and trying to work for a knockout rather then expecting one and being sloppy as a result. He needs to systematically and methodically break this guy down and do everything behind a good set up. I wonna see him improve his footwork and not be so plodding coming forward, foot speed is something that's very hard to improve though, so we'll see. It's a shame the McIntosh fight fell through, because that would've been the perfect opponent for Tony to look spectacular. Ovil will give him some problems if he's not sharp and on his game.
Bomber will be on his game and will stand Mckenzie on his head. This is the kind of fight he's been wanting for at least a year, you'll see him shine on Sat :deal
Think Dans right. Bomber will of learned more in his last fight than in any of the previous 13 and can see him really turnin it on on sat. Last time ovil mixed at this level against Francis, it was over very early and see somthing similar happening again. Hope not cos would really like to see Bellew put on a show.
