Mike Tyson, Julio Cesar Chavez Snr, Kostya Tszyu and Sylvester Stallone will all in inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in June at Canastoa, New York.

Nacho Berestein and Joe Cortez will also be inducted.

Why not Thomas Hearns ? I'm he was up for the first time this year too ? Not fought again has he ?

Just checked, last fight was Feb 2006 so is it 5 years at time of induction or 5 years at the time of voting ????

To be fair it's the hall of FAME not the hall of boxing achievement. The rocky films and the rocky character inspired a lot of people to get involved in the sport.

I wold have thought he'd have been a 'lock-in' mate and i'm sure that BN said he'd be available in 2011 back last year. Surely they'd have known

It's the time of voting I'm almost 100% sure on that maybe 96%. But knowing that hearns he'll get inducted next time and then decided one more fight just to wind up the judges for a laugh a four rounder against a no hoper or something.

Its good to see Stallone on there. Created the greatest Fictional Boxer of all time which has probably inspired more fighters than any actual fighter bar Ali

For what it's worth i think Naz definitely deserves to be in the HOF. Doesn't really matter anyway, it's all political and subjective. Just what being hall of fame worthy is these days, i don't really know.
