Poor old Barry:D. Whenever somebody makes a case for a marginal boxer to be in the Hall of Fame, Barry always gets a mention!!!

Tommy Hearns is the only outstanding candidate for next year.

But really who cares about the hall of fame...?

    Prince Naseem Hamed

    Nigel Benn

    Chris Eubank..

Don't need to be inducted into a mythical hall of fame to be remembered.

Nobody really cares to be honest...

Its like the BBC sports personality of the year.

I know that it's boxing people that vote for the h.o.f,,unlike sports personality which is voted for by non sports people.

I think it's important to the sport to have it,and also for ex-fighters.

Nobody really cares about it, i've never seen it make the international news.

    Because its ****, thats why..........because its ****.

Prince Naseem Hamed does not neeed to get inducted into the hall of fame. He's already a legend, and will always be remembered...........just like many other fighters that might not be inducted.

The Hall of Fame is like the BBC sports personality of the year.

I dont see why Tyson should get in and Naz should not.

In terms of boxing merit both qualify easily, Tyson obviously more so but Naz definitely achieved more in boxing terms than many fighters already inducted.

Boxing aside, surely Tyson has just as many, if not more sins than Naz?

I'm not condoning or judging either and happen to think that their life outside the ring should not be taken into consideration, especially considering there are plenty fighters already in the HOF who weren't exactly angels outside the ring.

Naz put the FW division on the map, it was a nothing division before he came along. Shame that some people define his whole career by the Barrera fight. Naz was an awesome boxer, great hand and foot speed and huge power for the weight.

McGuigan shouldn't be in there because he didn't achieve enough. (I believe he even conceeded this himself) But Prince Naseem was a disgrace to boxing...

Are you talking about his out of ring antics? If so I totally agree but what he did was no worse than Tyson, Monzon, LaMotta etc.

I truly believe he is suffering because the US press generally disliked Naz and there is quite a number of these same people currently responsible for selecting Hall of Fame entrants.
