The only people slagging off his performance against Holyfield probably haven't even seen the full unedited fight, like Tommy, who is a hater, pure and simple. SNV held back because he felt sorry for Evander and knew he'd win on the cards with the six purely accidental knockdowns. That was mercy, but there's no way he wasn't winning on the cards with six knockdowns.

Russian TV praised Valuev for that merciful performance.

Valuev doesn't need resumes. Resumes need Valuev.

Vitlai has the better reusme. Here's soemthing to ponder. Did Valuev even beat Holyfield? Nope. And the Donald fight was a poor call. Donald won it for sure.

the same can be said about the Ruiz fight in 2008
many experts and viewers ringside thought Ruiz won. Including expert trainer Norman Stone.

Valuev arguably lost to Donald, Ruiz, Chagaev and Holyfield. None of Vitali's wins are disputed, none left a question about who would win a rematch.

Wins and losses alone rarely tell the whole story.
