    Quick silence the heretic lol.

I know I'm flip-flopping here a bit. but when I watched the fight I remember feeling gutted that Garcia looked so good because I wanted Nam to win. Just like each one of us the fighters have good days and bad days. I thought Garcia was really in the zone.

If the Nam had won they would probably be a similar thread about Garcia.

This thread is getting more and more ridiculous.

So now we should give the nod to fighter that look agressive and are only throwing big punch hitting only leather or air ?

Since when MMA became an acting sport ?

I can't even understand how people could give even 1 round to Garcia.

I think I'll train MMA for 6 month and I will be champion, everyone tell me I've got good acting skillz...who cares If I look like a ****in tomatoe can, I can act !

    Just ridiculous... !

And no, If Nam would have won there would be no thread about Garcia, cause he lost, plain and simple !

No, because Garcia looked awful. That was a terrible performance.

Pretty much how I felt. I thought Phan won the first two rounds but felt the first was close enough that it could have gone to Garcia. In the third Nam slowed down considerably (due in part to the body shots landed by Garcia in round 1) while Garcia stayed active. The decision didn't surprise me in the slightest.

I agree. Worst robbery I've seen in a fight period since Axel Schultz got robbed against George Foreman.

Well we now know how Dana felt about the fight...

"You're getting paid your win [bonus], you're getting paid everything," White told Phan. "You won the f---ing fight, you should get paid the win money!"

    Also...

"If you never watched a fight in your entire f---ing life, you know who won that fight," exclaimed White. "I don't even know what to say to you... it's f---ing crazy!"

I couldn't agree with him more. I am really happy to hear that Nam is being given his winners bonus. Rogan also gave him all the credit in the world for the fight... No one will ever really consider his loss a loss... Which is fitting, because he didn't lose.

It is really funny, some people have described this as the worst decision they have ever seen. (then you haven't seen much)

But according to them, the worst decision they've ever seen was 'fight of the night'.

Has there ever been a fight of the night that wasn't close?

Has there ever been a fight of the night where both the fighters were not exceptional?

Not sure if you are kidding or not.

The only opinion Zuffa has had on this was that it was a horrible decision, Joe Rogan absolutely tore Keith Keizer a new *******, then Keith smugly responded "well then why do you take our judges abroad" and Joe said "So we don't get suspended in Nevada for using unlicensed judges" and Keith sort of just shut up.

Ok I just watched the fight, and could see how they may give the 1st and 3rd to garcia if they didnt noticed 90 percent the **** he throw Nam blocked... So I guess just throwing alot too them was good were Nam when he throw always smacked him in the face and hard...

Thats how i think they saw it, But i thought Nam punched the hell out of him while ducking most of what garcia throw

I think Garcia got rewarded for coming forward particularly in the first round.

Should a fighter gain any points if they come forward the whole time even if their opponent scored slightly more while going backwards?

We all know the scenario of the two counterpunches waiting and waiting for the other one to start throwing punches it's almost the song of MMA.

It could be argued that it's in the fans interest to reward the wild cavemen like Garcia. Because not only do they look good themselves they make counterpunches look good and they almost always guarantee an exciting fight.

It is considerably easier to counter-attack that to initiate straight off cold.

I agree Nam was ducking most of what Garcia threw but he wasn't punching the hell out of him in the first and thrid rounds.

I'm also in the "it was the wrong decision but not the worst robbery of all time, or even close to that" camp
