If you don't accept the terms, your career will end with a wimper fighting the likes of jan zavek, pirog, cotto, and , god forbid for your sake, a rejuvinated Margo as three quarter of the the Margo I had fought would have murdered you, a Margo who is fitter and bigger than you, a Margo who had no problemo making the 150 lbs weight limit. He easilly made the weight, no reason why you can't do it, unless you don't want your pretty face rearranged lest it denies you of your modeling career after it's all said and done...however, if so, then you are scared, a coward, and can't deal with a man like me whom you fear would **** you so good that you'd end up loving me a la Mike Tyson.

Invoking the immortal words of Fleece, the bottom line is this: I like you as a boxer, expecially your pretty face, but sooner or later, diBella is gonna have to force you to fight me for all the support he had given you...and you can do this the hard way, or the easy way...for if you should choose to drag this out because you are scared, then when we do fight, I will show you no mercy like I had with Margo and your career as a pretty boy will never be!

I heard if Dawson has another bad showing and takes a severe beating Pac is gonna fight him at 151 for a vacant LHW title. Arum says Dawsons ducking. Also since the fight should be fought on even terms and Pac is truly a LWW Dawson must fight with one arm.

I'm not denigrating Pac...far from it, I think he's brilliant in the ring, obviously. What is not so obvious is the brilliance that goes on behind the scene that is so essential in making Pac successful in the ring; you know the old aphorism from Sun Tzu that a battle is lost or won way before the start of the mayhem.

Even our esteemed esb scribe, the always eloquent intellectual warrior himself, Vivek Wallace, had to change his prediction in favor of Margo before Pac's last unparalled performance...something about the confluence of events, images and proclamations that even for the most jaded of boxing fans and floydiots who even give much credence to the fight being possibly fixed...even they became believer in the magnificence of the Pacman after that brilliant brutal display of the pugilistic art.

After seeing the mad training and determination that gave Margo a supremely cut body with bulging vein and sinews defined under skin almost devoid of fat, I thought Pac was in serious trouble, confirmed in the worried look he had alongside the confident grin of Margo in that weigh in...even to the most anti Margarito observer who considers him a punk bum cheat, plodding and unskilled, could never imagine the beatdown that actually played out, so bad that even the deliverer of pain had to step off the gas. This last measure of mercy only reinforced his legendary greatness.

How much of this is destiny, how much due to brilliant planning and hard work? This I leave for you to debate. As a boxing fan, these are the issues that make the sport and its participants so compelling.

This exegesis is not meant to be taken literally, for such would be fraudulent. Nor is it a parody or satire. For lack of a better term, it's like an attempt at a vulcan mind meld wherein the author attempts to put himself deep within the mind of the person supposedly penning the letter, a kinda literary docudrama, a stream of consciousness freudian exposition of a Bob Woodward type prose on the inner workings of, say, the Bush Adminstration's decision to invade Iraq.

Greatness is as much destiny as hard work, unforgiving calculation, and contrivance. I don't think it is by accident that the top players in the game like Arum and diBella are graduates of our top law school, nor is by accident that the top boxer of our generation has Arum as his promoter and Freddie as his trainer and Trampler as his matchmaker. The negotiation that goes behind closed door, as encapsulated in this 'letter' is more compelling and intriguing than one can imagine, as cerebral and conniving as any diplomatic negotiation beween a Kissinger and a Le Duc Tho.
