Marquez reported priced himself out by asking for $5M in fighting Pac. Do you think he is in the position to demand such a big amount? If he really wants to fight Manny and prove that he's the best, he will not demand a big purse which he believes he cannot get. $2M is good enough for Marquez, IMO.
Fighters like JMM deserve as much as they can possibly get. He is by far the most enjoyable fighter to watch IMO.

$5 million is overpricing himself when cotto got a guaranteed purse of less than 5 million and margarito 3 million. GBP believes that marquez vs. pacquiao can generate at least the same revenue as pacquiao vs. margarito, but they cannot guarantee pac $22 million, the amount he earned vs. margarito.
Considering his performance against the #2 P4P fighter in the world I say 1 million to 2 million is all he should get... Sure he did well against Pac in both fights but he also Lost both IMO and to add to it those fights were years ago recently Marquez hasnt looked like that.

Look at the *******s justifying the fight not being made. He just FOTY last year and a candidate for FOTY from the talks here. Also the guy has arguably beat Pac twice. Its a plain duck form Pacs team. They know JMM could derail a possible PBF fight so they make excuses. Wait until JMM gets beat a couple of times and then Pacs team will be talking about settling it once and for all. Also didnt Pac turn down 7 mil from JMM to fight Diaz for 3 mil a few years back. Hmmm i wonder whos ducking.....
