Khan's day of test is at our door step, will he succeed or fail???

I think people will be surprised just how easy Khan goes through this guy...

 

Think it might be a bit Naseem Hamed/Kevin Kelley - with Khan prevailing in the middle rounds after a tumultous first couple of rounds.

 

Not back and forth but definitely tense and edge of the seat, because Maidana will be in the fight even if he's being taken to the cleaners by Khan. Khan could be hurt at any moment, I'm picking Amir to win and i could see a scenario where he makes it surprisingly (in some people's eyes) easy, but i wouldn't make a big bet on it.

If you look closely a big punching pressure fighter who's good on the inside and brings a high tempo is Khan's nightmare. Maidana doesn't have all those attributes, but combine his strengths with Amir's "sweet spots", relatively poor defence and deficiencies on the inside and this is almost a pick'em.

I actually think someone like Devon Alexander would be an easier task for him. Amir is harder to outbox, anyone who tries to outbox him is in for a long night. Devon would play chess with him from the outside and play to Khan's strengths. Maidana will swim against the tide and try and knock his head off.

If Khan was a clincher then this fight would've been a lot easier for him. It would've allowed him to smother Maidana's power punches. As it is he has to be perfect and constant with his footwork and circling. If Khan is hurt in this fight i can't see him recovering, because he doesn't know how to survive. I don't think he has a survive mode tactic in his locker, because when he's hurt he just fights harder and tries to get back at you.

Journo's in Vegas are all saying to put the house on Khan, apparantly Maidana looks dreadful. Then again, according to some he appeared to be having a great camp, so who knows!

Khan will probably get loads of success in this fight, Roach will be able to pick Maidana apart easily from a technical standpoint and then it's just a matter of sticking to a game plan. Without his punch Maidana wouldn't have a pot to **** in here. He's wide open, stands square on throwing untidy punches and doesn't use a jab. He'll get peppered in the first few rounds will start backing up and then will get taken out imo. I don't rate Maidana's stamina so it will probably be around the middle rounds. Of course I could be wrong.

There isn't such thing as satellite television..or the bbc showing each fighter at the same gym doing a ring workout, commentators analyzing what theyve seen and what people are saying.. it doesn't exist unless someone makes a webpage and provides a link with a transcript of what happened and what was seen...atsch

Perhaps sometimes, at others this 24 hours prior to a bout can gift those who get within close proximity a golden betting ticket. Look at Hatton Pac or De La Hoya Pac, especially De La Hoya, some people must of made a killing on that.

Also, Maidana has trained a long time for this, he never had any real break after the Corley fight so it's been a long long few months. It could of gotten the better of him.

Saying that though I don't think it would make any difference either way, he's a ****ing lunatic in the ring, he'll still just let Khan smash his face in in the hope he connects with one going back. If this does go 12 rounds Maidana's face is going to be a wreck
