    According to the Bing translation Sonny Liston was born "in a Desert Wetland(?) of between 25 children".

    Fascinating.

    "How were always the same: the young Liston immobilizzava with his Herculean strength, that the victim was she mates."

    Wow... Liston was a monster.

    Which takes you to the English version. It doesn't translate the Italian version.

    Spastic. :D

    If you want to read anything truthful and in-depth about Sonny Liston.
    Read anything Jack McKinney wrote.
    He was the closest sports-writer to Sonny.
    The only one Sonny trusted.
    The Philadelphia Daily News.

    He even wrote a classic.
    When Sonny was training for the first Floyd Patterson fight, to be
    held at Comiskey Park in Chicago.
    Jack witnessed a work-out that Sonny was having, at Aurora Downs, Illinois, an hold harness track and stock car facility, that was converted into his training facility.
    Sonny was working on the heavy-bag, and attempted to fire off
    (3) five-punch combinations in a row.

    After firing off the punches, Sonny asked Jack;
    'What do you think'

    McKinney replied;
    'I think you need five more fights before taking on Patterson'

    Liston bewildered, asked;
    'Why'

    McKinney;
    'Because, it took you 20-seconds to throw those punches, and Patterson could have snapped off 10 combinations in the same amount of time.'

    McKinney followed up;
    'T.C. (short for Top Cat) you're left hand jab is so slow, birds can land on it, and use it as a perch.'
