    I'll kick things off.....

I've decided to go the sophisticated route tonight. I've invested in two bottles of Chardonnay.......not just any Chardonnay.....Marks and Spencers 'Gold Label' Chardonnay if you please.

My thinking is that sipping away on wine instead of guzzling beers like I normally do will help me to avoid conking out before Khan puts a hurting on MM in the early hours. The problem with drinking beer at home is I just keep downing them without thinking and then suddenly I'll be drunk enough to think ''I'll just grab 40 winks before the Khan fight''......then the next thing you know you've woken up cold on the sofa at 5.45 a.m and you've even forgotten to Sky plus it. No, sipping fine wine over the space of the evening is a better strategy, I'm convinced of it. :hey

Food wise, I'm still not sure. I'm still trying to formulate the right crisp/dip combinations that will keep me interested over a 10 hour period. I'll let you know when I get back from Sainsburys.

See, I think pizza is a dangerous strategy. Get's you all bagged-up, then you get tired, then it's lights out. :-(

Chinese take-away is the answer. They never seem to fill you up anyway. You'll still have the pizza in reserve to have around 4 a.m if you need to. If you've lasted till then the adrenalin will have kicked in and there'll be no danger of nodding off.

an oven thin crust pizza theres no danger of that but if orderd one then yes i could be looking at an early bath

i think ill keep myself peckish all night by steady eating nibbles than have the pizza around 12 , im uo for this so theres not much danger of dropping off

I usually for go a sleep and have the alarm on 30mins before the fight, then have some cereal or a sandwich after the fight.

Beware the fine wine. It has habit of sneaking up on you. If the fights are lively , i think you'll struggle to just sip it and you could be done for.

There's an old trick I employ that I learned from our continental cousins.

I try to drink a glass of water with every glass of wine. Slows me down, keeps me more alert and, oddly, I seem to appreciate the wine more. Maybe because it helps to keep clearing my palate or something.

Jilly Goolden, eat your heart out.

(having said all that, I'm already pouring my third glass :patsch)
