    Quieter round from Macklin... If I were a supporter of his, I'd be very worried.

    Round 4...not a cut but a bit of swelling above Macklin's left eye. Good stuff from Macklin - 1,2 and then the left uppercut but instead of then backing off Macklin moves in inviting punches from Varon. Ref gives the Spaniard a final wrning for low punches and now Macklin gets a telling off for a lowblow. Real rough fight, macklin catches Varon against the ropes, lands a few hooks clean that draw cheers from the crowd. Macklin is almost forcing out the jab, no snap to it maybe Rob's rumour about Macklin being ill is true :think. Not looking world class for sure but he's winning, bit ragged Mack looks tbh.

    Macklin starting to get his jab going again now. Ref has had to step in twice to warn each fighter about low blows, it's getting a bit scrappy in there. Some of Mack's best work seems to be coming as he pins Varon up against the ropes. Macklin still taking a few too many shots for a fight at this level.

    3-1 Macklin. Varon did better work there. Wish Macklin would just work off the jab and not get drawn into the inside.
