For his ninth pro fight DeGale is very very good. I think he will be ready for a world title shot in about 10 fights time.

That was one of the most impressive displays from a British novice, and he is still a kid in this game, that I have seen. That was very, very impressive. He took Smith apart like a true, experienced all round pro that's been in his prime for a few years. The most impressive thing for me was how he was never EVER flustered or panicked at all in the fight. He picked his shots beautifully and moved well, covered up well and that jab was absolutely dominant all night.

That was super impressive. I am a big fan.

To be fair, he isn't all that much cockier than many other skilled boxers with successful pedigrees.

A lot of the British disdain for him seems niggling. Did any of those same people hypocritically back Naz?
