    it wasn't even close to fight of the year. There has to be back and forth action for that to hold true. You give fight of the year to a fight where one fighter is running for his life the last 5 rounds. Lol I know you are some gamer/internet nerd though, you used the stereotypical nerd response "cool story bro" like a sheep. It's really creepy, yet predictable. You talk as if you have almost no human contact outside people on the forums.

    You really can't debate my point that every punch Maidana landed hurt khan, because the fight clearly showed it. I was just commenting on witnessing something so unreal.

    actually, amidst all the post-fight euphoria i've been enjoying since watching this absolute classic rumble, i'd forgotten about Cortez's somewhat protective handling of khan in the 10th. he did seem to be keen to get involved and break it up a bit too easily for me. got to check that out again.

    Either way, khan took plenty of punches and laughed them off so this thread's pretty inaccurate. The punch in the 10th would have knocked plenty of fighters clean out, that he survived it is hugely impressive and he's won a whole load of new respect from me.

    Once the first big punch from Maidana landed I expected Khan to fall ......It landed, he took it and many others. He certainly surprised me and I haven't yet watched the fight (in work).

    I expected him to control the fight much better than the reports suggest but there's no way you can take anything away from how his chin stood up against the biggest puncher in the division.

    This thread sucks.

    If Khan got hurt by every punch that hit him and he STILL outworked the puncher, then that's just messed up and humiliating for the puncher known as the hardest hitter in 140. Heck even Bradley says that Maidana hits real hard and that's just from studying him in LA.

    Ortiz might hit harder. But Khan wasn't hurt after every punch. If he had he would have been KO'd after the punches Maidana landed after hurting Khan in that 10th(?) round.
