    Who wins?

It seems Maidana is a better version of Katsidis, has a better chin and is a stronger puncher. I think Maidana wins here.

i'd still say marquez, although if he gets caught by maidana like what he has been caught before (say kat), he may well have a different reaction this time

Wow. If Khan couldn't stop Maidana's coming forward with all the shots he hit him with, Marquez certainly ain't. Maidana's too strong, eats his best shots and stops the easier to get to flat-footed Marquez in the middle to late rounds.

I fully agree with you JMM will be having problems with maidana, this will be
a better fight than khan vs marquez. JMM is a counter puncher, so he does'nt
have to move like khan. this is a hell of a fight:bbb

Maidana, hes just too strong at 140.

Marquez is known to have trouble with gravity, put a truck there and he will be blown away this time round. Marquez should stick to 135.

maidana might be too powerful for jmm at 140. diaz and katsidis were able to hurt jmm at 135. how long could jmm keep countering a much stronger and relentless maidana?

JMM would be too smart for somebody like Maidana although I wouldn't be surprised if JMM hits the canvass.

Marquez isn't even a natural lightweight. Maidana is a much harder puncher than Katsidis. See, this is why Pacquiao's weight jumping is so impressive. There are a lot of great fighters that can't move up much without size likely being the ultimate factor and a total nullification of class differences.

Maidana at 140lbs would be too big for the old master IMO!! How great Marquez is, he shouldn't leave 135lbs, he did it once and we could see his yellow fountain of youth didn't prevent him from looking old, sluggish, slow against Money
