Kahn showed he could easily outbox him but he wanted to show he had toughness as well so traded with him at points, kahn could have stayed on the outside and outjabbed him all night.
I think 95% of us were wrong. NONE Of us predicted he would take that many of Maidana's shots For the second half of the fight he fought the wrong way. Went away from the game plan! We all know Khan has skills. Im sure before this fight you would even admit that he is one of the most skilled boxers out there. the only thing thats questionable is his chin. And yesterday he proved he can take the biggest punches from the hardest hitter in his weight. his defence was questionable though. But i think thats due to Maidana's style and dragging khan into a brawl. Khans stupid for falling for it. When he was boxing Maidana his defence was solid. I think he just wanted to prove something out there. ALmost cost him.
I don't think Maidana is as bad as people make him out to be. He'll give Bradley and Alexander hell that's for sure. Your kind of right though, Khan's defence was terrible and needs a lot of work.

Watch the fight again and you will see why there was a point deduction. Maidana blatantly tried to foul by attempting to elbow Khan. Point deduction well deserved. 2 x 10-8 rounds and some very clean Khan rounds in the first half gave Khan the victory.
poor skills? Maidana had decent handspeed, cut off the ring well and was able to counter well AND get off bombs. How does that make him a poor fighter?

Maidana's a very good fighter. He's like Juan Diaz, Hatton, Margarito, Angulo, Williams. He's limited but what he does do, it is typically very effective, regardless of how it looks to people.
