When in fighting mode Maidana unfortunately goes a bit dirty. I didn't like it. Great heart etc., but he wasn't always sportsmanlike.

Maidana is a bit of a wanker, and a dirty fighter also.

    I don't particularly care though.

That was actual dirty yet cagey at the same time. I disliked it but understand that a fighter needs to protect themselves at all times. I like Khan's sportsmanship but fighters usually touch before the opening bell so that was a bit too much. During a fight boxers can't show too much respect to their opponents as they get paid to punch each other. What I didn't like was Maidana trying to hit Khan after the ref was trying to break them up at times and also the rabbitpunchng. No Maidana isn't moral but in the sport there's always been clean and dirty fighters so I can't complain much. Also, people will always try to find an advantage either in the book or out of it and Maidana is an opportunist.

I don't know if 'moral' is the correct word. I'd use 'dirty' instead. And yes, Maidana always has been and always will be a dirty ******* inside the ring. Him swinging at khan at the beginning was unsportsmanlike, but it was legal and to be expected of him. He then went on to punch continuously at the back of the head and tried to elbow Khan in the face. I'm glad Khan was prepared for all of this, and applied a few tricks of his own - holding and pushing down on the neck.

Kahn tried to touch gloves at the beggining of the 11th, which showed inexperience and Maidana was having none of it. Maidana seems like a serious dude and doesnt seem too concerned with anything but winning. This is boxing and he used intimidation factor to get in Kahns head, which he did. he is a mean fighter, but I dont know I like that.

it was cheap but legal with that said you need to protect yourself at all times. The way I saw it was that Maidana was trying to get into Amir's head early because the way that Khan reacted at the opening bell was like "whoa this guy isn't playing".

Moral? That is a strong word to use in this case. Unsportsmanlike is the word you are looking for.

Maidana ain't there to make friends.
They can touch gloves & suck eachother off after the fight.

He's a dirty fighter. First and last round he should touch gloves. At other times no need to if he doesn't want to.

Start of the 11th as he came out a bit shaky afer getting hit about in the 10th. Maidana didnt wan to. Which is fair enough.

    Reminded me of Hamed-Barrera.
