In his 13th fight, he was dropped and hurt by Willie Limond, who has an astonishing 22% KO Ratio

In his 18th fight, he fought Michael Gomez, the old, former Superfeatherweight who has a 50% KO Ratio and had Khan all over the place with shots to the head and body.

In his 19th fight, he got knocked the **** out by Breidis Prescott, a lightweight.

In his 21st fight, he fought Barrera, a worn fighter who's not known to have a big punch and was a blown up Lightweight hurt Khan momentarilly with a glancing right.

In his 22nd fight, he fought Kotelnik, a man who Khan labelled 'the weakest champion' at 140 pounds. Khan ended up getting buzzed by him in the 12 and his legs went jelly for a second.

Now in his 24th fight, he fights a fully fledged Light-Welterweight who has Middleweight type power, has a 90% KO ratio and hits Khan full on with a right hand to the chin, yet Khan is still there.

Amazing. It's a bit hard to believe that the 5 pounds made the difference with that, but I think he's come into his man strength and really shown what he is capable of taking, but it's still shocking to see how a man who was hurt by a non-punching former superfeatherweight took punches from Maidana and came back.

My conclusion of all this is, Glass Jaws are a ****ing Myth :deal:deal:deal

no , its just a boy at 20 - 21 at 135 , has now filled out at 24 to a solid 140, has stopped lifting weight, more body strength training , stronger legs and better sparring .

    In before the contrarian bitches...

  4. First off, Ariza is definitely juicing Khan up with something.

Second off, Khan was hurt numerous times by Maidana, and if it wasn't for Cortez' incompetence, Khan would have another "KTFO by" on his list.

Third off as Roy Jones pointed out, Maidana wasn't hitting Khan on the chin for most of the fight, but rather on the top of the head. Once Maidana touched that glass jaw, Khan was doing the Pakistani shuffle.

I think it's definitely gotten stronger with the move up in weight. If you look at the difference in his body shape from last night and the Prescott fight there is a huge difference. The Prescott fight he had a massive upper-body, almost in a V-shape, and skinny legs. Now he looks more balanced and has stronger legs.

Also, I think Maidana's power was overrated. Then again, he obviously hits harder than Willie Limmond.

I think that it's a mix of things: getting bigger, getting more experienced, keeping his chin down more frequently, better stamina/conservation of energy, and just the natural strengthening that comes with age. Khan is only just beginning to move into his physical prime.

He still has a vulnerable chin and he shouldn't go back to doing Naz impressions. But because of his development and his better defence, I think it's less likely that he's going to get KO'd the next time he faces a puncher, unless that puncher also has a plenty of skills to match his power.

So he hasn't gone from Eric Crumble to George Chuvalo, but he has gone from having an appaling chin and a leaky defence to having a decent chin and a pretty solid defence. The next stage for him is to learn to handle uppercuts properly.

Experience plus a move up to 147 will help him improve that chin even more. I don't know how Khan even made 135 he looks so different now...much more healthy..

It's not healthy draining yourself to have an Edge over opponents even though its the Norm in boxing.

What i said last night i admit i was way off and not giving Khan respect. But when i think about it and watch it again and again? I'm finally giving Khan respect cause he didn't go down and survive and his chin is alittle bit better. The reason i said alittle bit laz cause whyelse Khan was running alot in most of the rounds? And If Khan chin is great as you trying to say then he wouldn't be on ***** street in the 10th when Maidana clock him. Imo even though Khan deserve credit, i think Maidana was fighting 2 people in the ring Khan and Cortez.

The difference is conditioning and recovery. Just like Pac, the methods Ariza is giving them allows them to recover quickly.

    A+ for Ariza
    C for Roach
    B for Khan

Ariza is the reason why he won the fight.

Khan has such amazing conditioning now.

Ariza should get a ton of credit.

same thing happened with pac man, why he can take so many pucnhes off bigger dudes and keep going

so if ur a fan, its conditioning, if ur mayweather sr, its supplements and if ur a crackhead, its a side meth. take ur pick as to how they do it
