I think Abner Mares v Vic Darchinyan pipped them to the post in the greatest night of boxing in a long time. For those of you who haven't seen it, check it out.

Nah man, very good fight, especially R12, but the FOTY didn't occur yesterday. It's either JMM-Katsidis or Cazares-Nashiro II.
Thought it was below Khan-Maidana in the FOTY stakes IMO...didn't quite have the drama but it was a helluva fight. Mares takes the performance of the weekend though, dude is a little warrior..he was unlucky not to get the nod against Perez in their great fight so was made up wehn he rightfully got the nod over Vic. FOTY for me is between Khan-Maidana Segura-Calderon Cazares-Nashiro II JMM-Kats + Escalante-Roman were too one-sided for me.
Khan-Maidana won't hold up, and if the 10th never happened it would have just been a "good" fight, not a "great" fight. It was missing Khan really coming back from getting pummeled. It's always sort of a downer when the clear winner loses the last part of a fight.
Yep, Vic/Mares was a better fight than Khan/Maidana. Great, great fight. Can't wait for Mares/Agbeko and Vic/Perez :happy
Agreed! I thought that fight was more exciting by a slight edge. Also the showtime team made it that much more exciting. :deal I can see why some people picking Maidana/khan as well. Both great fights. Awesome night of boxing last night. :happy And i still hear people say that boxing is dead. atsch Those people that only watch those overrated big hyped fights didn't know any boxing was on last night.
