The Khan that beat Maidana vs. the Cotto that campaigned at 140

Last nights performance? Khan gets stopped.

Those periods where he just stood against the ropes with his hands up would be bad news for Khan, and they would have occured with greater frequency than they did against Maidana! Cotto stops him in 8 or 9.

Cotto. By stoppage. Khan wouldn't last against a methodical pressure fighter like Cotto who had better timing and better placed combinations than him. Not to mention hit pretty well at the weight.

I agree with this, Khan usually only gets pinned when hes hurt, but when he does his defence is shocking, I actually think cotto would do serious damage with body punches more than head ones, khan has been hurt with a body shot by michael gomez, who was an inside pressure fighter. obviously khans better now than he was then, but even more obviously cotto is a different animal to gomez, but the style is similar.

@140 cotto beat significant wins include judah and malignaggi and torres

all three guys shook cotto up and some point in the fight.

cotto was a big beast at 140 but also vulnerable. last nights khan loses but a khan that can stick to the gameplan for 12 should win a close decision

Same result as Khan-Maidana fight, Cortez wouldn't allow Cotto make bodyshots when Khan holds him. With objective referee its late stoppage for Cotto.

cotto was just too big at 140, I pick him to stop khan mid rounds after a vicious body assault
